INSPIRATIONAL WOMEN LIFE STORY - MAMATA BANERJEE

We are all living in the 21st Century. But Do all girls and Women are independent? But some girls and women are there to be role models for those girls who are still paralyzed inside the home, who are still slaves to their husbands and family members.  One of the best role models is Mamata Banerjee who was elected consecutively three times as chief minister by West Bengal People.

Born: 5th January 1955 in Kolkata

At the age of 15, she joined the Congress Party from which she started to participate in struggles and demonstrations for people, as a result of which she became the General Secretary for Women in 1976. At the time Marxist communists held the rule in West Bengal. Though Mamata Banerjee is in Congress Party, She criticized Congress Party boldly because some leaders are in Congress but they were working for Marxist Communists.

In 1984, she got the opportunity to compete in the Parliamentary election against Somnath Chatterjee who is a well-known and experienced politician in Marxist Communist. Everyone was teased by laughing and teasing. But she never minded and she confidently competed against Somnath Chatterjee. At the time she won against Somnath Chatterjee and became a Member of Parliament at 29 years. And she is the first youngest woman member of Parliament.

On 7th January 1993, in West Bengal, Nadia district a little girl who is deaf and cannot speak was raped by a cruel man. As he was a politician's son, police did not arrest him. Knowing this, Mamata Banerjee protested to arrest that Maniac man in front of the writers building in West Bengal ( Chief Minister room in West Bengal). At the time she was heavily pushed out harshly by a policeman. It leads to torn her saree. So she took Vow that she will enter the Writers building after she becomes Chief Minister of West Bengal. It shows her obstinacy and stubbornness. After that, she started a Trinamool Congress, after facing lots of struggles and discouragement she became Chief Minister of West Bengal on 20th May 2011. She entered the Writer's Building full of courage and powerful attitude. She continuously became Chief Minister of West Bengal three times (hat-trick success in Political game).
